ZWQ Upgraded Constant-Force 18-Dart Magazine

Updated 20/05 2026

ZWQ’s new 18-dart mags (with stronger springs) have just arrived. I thought the mags in my stock were from the new batch because they didn’t seem to cause darts to jam. But when I loaded the new mags, the difference was immediately noticeable, even though they look the same.
The spring return speed feels quick and powerful, and you can immediately notice the difference while loading darts. The spring strength feels somewhere between the old mags and Diana mags, which I think is just right. Personally, I feel the Diana mag springs are a little too strong, but AEB users would probably be better judges of that.

I think this mag is finished now.

The 10-dart mag hasn’t been changed. But I’ve ordered the short mags with the upgraded spring version, along with separate reinforced springs. I’ll post an update once they arrive.

ZWQ takes this very seriously because they checked their own inventory and did not find this issue in the newly produced magazines. So they reviewed my inventory through video calls (they actually made me open and inspect all the remaining extended magazines in my stock -_- — the good news for me is that fewer magazines needed fixing than I expected. They also taught me how to handle the issue). ZWQ also clearly stated that they will ensure the quality of future mag production.

There are only a few mags left from this batch. I’ll do my best to fix these protrusions, but I’m not a model maker, so my skills are limited. Many hands-on players still chose to purchase them anyway. Thank you all for your understanding and support.

Important Notice: Updated 22/04/2026

Thanks to player JaKN7 for the feedback. Some ZWQ 18-dart magazines from this batch may show minor manufacturing imperfections—specifically, small gate (sprue) marks that were not fully cleaned during production.

This issue only affects the 18-dart mags from this batch; ZWQ 10-dart mags do NOT have this problem.

In most cases, these marks are subtle and may not be noticeable during normal use. However, they may appear more visible under close inspection or on camera, especially if located in more prominent areas. Based on spot-checking my own inventory, a few units may leave light surface marks on foam darts.

There have been no reports of these imperfections affecting dart feeding or performance. In my own use, the magazines function normally and feed darts without issue.

This issue has already been reported to ZWQ, and they have assured us that it will be addressed.

If you prefer a perfectly finished product or do not wish to cut and sand this minor imperfections yourself, please consider this before purchasing or wait for an updated batch.

Overview

A high-capacity constant-force magazine designed for smooth feeding and reduced dart stress.

Pressing darts into the magazine feels effortless and smooth. Constant-force mags are the kind of product that, once you try them, you get hooked. We didn’t love the appearance at first, but after using them, we decided we’ll keep using them. The difference becomes especially obvious with the ZWQ long constant-force magazine — loading 18 darts really shows how much easier it is compared to standard mags.

(On a purely personal level, I’m really afraid of spiders, so I tend to keep my mags fully loaded. Using a constant-spring mag makes me feel more at ease, and I worry less about foam darts being compressed over long periods.)

Features

  • 18-dart capacity for extended play between reloads

  • Constant-force spring applies steady, low-pressure force on darts

  • Helps reduce dart deformation when stored loaded

  • Distinctive wide-body design—a popular choice for S400 / Zebra users

  • Compatible with ZWQ wide magwell platforms (not Talon-compatible)

Why Choose This Magazine

While slim Talon-style magazines are the standard overseas, some blasters—especially ZWQ designs—use a wider magwell. This mag is ideal if:

  • You prefer wide magazines for grip, look, or ergonomics

  • You want consistent feeding with lower dart stress

  • You’re using platforms such as the ZWQ S400 / Zebra that are designed specifically for this size
