We use different filament brands to offer more color and finish options. Some high-stress parts use PA6CF for durability and cannot be customized. PETG HF has a more matte finish than standard PETG, with slightly lower strength.
Please choose the material and color for the included upgrade.
PLA (Basic) is easy to print and produces a cleaner finish, especially on parts with overhangs. It is stiffer and well suited for indoor use, with heat tolerance around 55–60 °C. PETG-HF offers improved heat resistance (~69 °C) and a matte finish, making it more suitable for moderate outdoor use. It is more flexible than PLA and should not be exposed to extreme heat, such as direct sun on very hot Australian summer days. PETG Basic is chosen for customers who need durability and heat resistance, especially for everyday or outdoor use. The trade-off is appearance: PETG Basic has a more matte, functional finish. It may not look as smooth or glossy as some other materials, but it is stronger and longer-lasting.

So far, I’ve only received one report of an issue with this magwell, and it was with a first-batch S400. I haven’t seen any other cases yet, or at least none have been reported to me.

If you have a first-batch S400 — the packaging says “Ages 10+” (later batches say “Ages 8+”) — please leave a note when ordering. I’ll include two releases, which may help avoid this issue, although the chances of it happening are very low.

Along with the magwell, there is also a spare mag release included. This is an additional part that Raxfire added based on feedback from some users.

If you notice that foam darts are getting damaged after using Raxfire’s magwell, you can try replacing the mag release. Its main function is to allow the magazine to sit slightly lower.

According to Raxfire, this issue is not common. Therefore, the original mag release design should be used first.

Feedback is welcome to help us improve.

All required magwell hardware, including springs, pins, and related components, comes pre-installed, ensuring a quick and hassle-free installation.

As expected for competitive foam dart blasters, the design also supports a drop-free magazine release, enabling smooth and efficient reloads without manual assistance.
