To offer more choices in colors and finishes, filaments from different brands are used. Some parts of certain blasters cannot be customized because carbon fiber–reinforced PA6CF is used for long-term durability. Each filament has its own advantages and disadvantages. Compared with PLA, PETG is more heat-resistant and less prone to degradation, while PLA tends to produce fewer printing defects. Compared with standard PETG, PETG HF (limited to materials on this website) is slightly less strong but has a more matte, less glossy finish.
Choose based on which hand you use to hold the blaster. This determines which side the dart gate faces.

Introduction

Big Jolt has become extremely popular in China thanks to a large and active modding community. The platform supports a wide variety of play styles, with many designers developing their own interpretations and mechanical solutions. Due to this popularity, Big Jolt has repeatedly sold out on Temu China, with prices increasing multiple times during periods of high demand.

Some of the most well-known Big Jolt mods include the ball-valve mod, Zhu Rong mod, Zhu Rong Extra, ball ammo mod, and revolver mod, among others.

Zhu Rong Mods uses PTFE tape to secure the barrel. Although it’s a bit troublesome, the advantage is that it causes no damage to the Jolt body and requires no glue, making it easy for you to try other Jolt mods available.

This hardware kit

includes two of his designs: the classic Zhu Rong Origin with excellent air seal and accuracy, and the Zhu Rong Extra, featuring a dart-in-dart feeding system.

All parts are open-source except for the Zhu Rong Extra dart-in-dart feeding module and the stock.

The Zhu Rong Extra feeding module is included in this hardware kit and is available with customizable colors and materials.

Since this blaster is a modification based on an injection-molded (though inexpensive) toy and is compact in size, it offers good stability and durability when combined with 3D-printed parts.

Compared to the earlier open-source files on MakerWorld, the print files provided on this page feature several improvements in both appearance and usability.
These include a more secure stock connection, smoother screw holes, and the removal of the front sight for easier assembly and disassembly.

You can switch between the two play modes by changing the feeding module.

Zhu Rong Origin

In the videos on this page, you’ll see that the modified Jolt is just as accurate as any blaster in a similar FPS range.
Even after all this time, players continue to innovate on the Temu Jolt platform.

It’s also the blaster I personally use the most at home—more than any other, by far.

Zhu Rong Extra

also designed by Mr. Liu, is based on the original Zhu Rong mod, with major changes to the feeding system and interaction style. By intentionally giving up part of the air seal, the design achieves a more interesting and efficient feeding method. This makes it especially suitable for indoor play and casual use, allowing the blaster to be loaded and fired easily at almost any time without strict operation timing.
