There’s nothing wrong with the Purple-Orange Darts; I just need to clear some space to make room for coming new foam darts.
About Worker Half-Length Darts
Worker foam darts come in a variety of tip and body color combinations, as you may have noticed.
Tip Colors
Body Colors
-
Purple = slightly slimmer body, designed for flywheel blasters and spring blasters with weaker springs
-
Red = earlier standard version
-
Yellow = slightly thicker body, providing a tighter fit in barrels and designed for stronger spring blasters
Worker has stated that they themselves use purple-body darts for their flywheels.
On the original factory box, Worker labels the purple-body darts as Generation 3 and the others as Generation 2(in Chinese). The darts are sometimes called differently online, so please don’t be concerned.
It is also said that the yellow dart body is harder than the purple dart body.
We haven’t tested their firmness differences (for example, by loading a full magazine with purple-body darts and another with yellow-body darts for a few days and comparing compression afterward).
We tested their thickness using a Worker standard barrel, and the purple-body darts slid with noticeably less friction than the yellow-body darts.
So the choice is ultimately up to you.
NOTE: These are short-length Stefans and won’t fit standard full-size magazines. They only function in blasters modified or configured for short darts.
