Marketed as S400 Chi Tu in the Chinese community, “Chi Tu” (赤兔) refers to the legendary horse ridden by Lü Bu, and later by Guan Yu in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
For the overseas version, the name becomes Zebra.
Updated 2/04/2026: Someone bought the S400 together with an 18-round worker curved magazine. That reminded me that with the S400’s included basic magazine compatibility mod, when using a worker magazine, the mag has to be inserted in reverse (front-to-back). If it’s a straight magazine, there’s no issue—but with a curved mag, it looks quite strange.
To install the mod, just push it in as shown in gallery. To remove the mod, the magwell must be removed first.
Compact?
Yes — compact and lightweight.
Priming:
Easier than expected with 1.6mm spring. A 2.0 mm spring significantly increases priming effort.
ZWQ wide magazine:
Outstanding build quality. It feels great in hand and is extremely solid. The only downside is that it currently fits only the S400.
Constant-force magazines (ZWQ wide & narrow):
Both completely changed the loading experience. Pressing darts into the magazine feels effortless and smooth. Constant-force mags are the kind of product that, once you try them, you get hooked. We didn’t love the appearance at first, but after using them, we decided we’ll keep using them. The difference becomes especially obvious with the ZWQ long constant-force magazine — loading 18 darts really shows how much easier it is compared to standard mags.
(On a purely personal level, I’m really afraid of spiders, so I tend to keep my mags fully loaded. Using a constant-spring mag makes me feel more at ease, and I worry less about foam darts being compressed over long periods.)

Overall:
Despite these small issues, its real-world performance fully lives up to expectations. At a price comparable to the Worker Seagull, it comes highly recommended, and we will be carrying it long-term.
Updated 08/05/2026
The paint on the second batch of S400, both the orange and white versions, indeed has no issues at all.
The current inventory consists entirely of the second batch of S400. As claimed by ZWQ, the paint peeling issue has already been resolved in this second batch. Of course, we will still carry out inspections. If you receive a product with any issues, you are welcome to return it, request a refund, or get a replacement.
We have now received the transparent version of the S400. However, we currently do not have a fully satisfactory set of external modification parts.
Due to frequent handling, we have become accustomed to its appearance and can no longer reliably judge whether it maintains sufficient visual distinction as a toy launcher. Under daylight conditions, it can still be distinguished, but at night, this distinction becomes significantly less clear.
For safety reasons, users assume all responsibility for the use, transportation, and modification of this product. We strongly advise against using it in public spaces or in any manner that could cause confusion, alarm, or violation of local laws or regulations. This product should only be handled in safe, private settings with appropriate caution.
3D print Files of black parts of S400.
The files in the link are, given by ZWQ, most of the black parts of the S400. They were not specifically designed for 3D printing, so the parts were not split into separate pieces. However, the sample in my gallery was printed using these exact files.
